OUR STORY
EFGS (Education Française Greater Seattle) was founded in 2009 at the initiative of a French-speaking group of parents who had the dream to offer their children attending American local schools a place where they could get a quality French language education and cultivate their francophone identity.
This dream was realized thanks to the support of the FLAM (Français LAngue Maternelle) program which provided a grant for the first 5 years of operation. Our purpose is to provide an affordable after-school program to help children sustain and deepen their knowledge of both French language and culture. It is aimed at French-speaking children from elementary to middle school attending the American schools. We currently have 2 locations, one in Seattle (Capitol Hill) and one in Redmond on the eastside. Our educational program was carefully thought and validated by education professionals to ensure high quality and strengthen the four pillars of language (understanding, speaking, writing and reading) in a stimulating and engaging environment. Children have many opportunities to exchange, share, listen, read and write in French. Visit ourTeam page to know more about us. In the News:
