LES COLLÉGIENS

11-14 years old

Minimum prerequisites:
> Comprehension of spoken French.
> Ability to converse in French.
> Ability to read in French.
> Ability to write in French.

Some of the calligrammes created by the Collegiens of 2016/2017

Designed for more advanced students, this program is divided in sequences (a total of 4 or 5 for the school year) with literature studies on the exploration/travel theme. They are taught an innovative approach that connects with middle-schoolers' interests and subjects studied in public school.
Students are also challenged through creative writing projects. For example, they wrote their own play, created "calligrammes" (see pictures above).
Combined with workshops to improve and maintain their French writing/reading skills, this program provides a dynamic learning environment and bring a new style to keep students' motivation at a high level.

Various materials - all age appropriate- will be used.

"Mots français volent dans le vent
Caressent les feuilles
Je ferme mes yeux et pense
Comme une tempête les mots s’enragent."
