Returning families get priority placement if pre-enrolled by March 15th
Parent Volunteers play an integral role in the success of the program.
The Class fee (tuition) above does NOT include the pre-enrollment fee.
Our enrollment is a 2 step process.
STEP 1 PRE-ENROLLMENT (mandatory, starting February 15)
All students, both new and continuing, need to pre-enroll online every academic year. The pre-enrollment determines the placement order. Currentlyenrolled families have a priority placement until March 15th. A pre-enrollment fee of $200 will have to be paid with each application (one per child). This fee is only refundable if WE can't accept your child in our program (class cancelled, your child doesn't meet the requirements...).
We are using a online portal for Pre-enrollment and Class enrollment. You will use this portal with a Family account associated to ONE primary email. This email must belong to the parent/guardian managing enrollment at EFGS. Once you have an account and added one or more children to the account, you will be able to pre-enroll them and then enroll them in Step 2.
Important: Pre-enrollment is complete only when you have paid the fee.
PRE-ASSESSMENT AND PLACEMENT For all new FLAM (French-speaking) students, we require a pre-assessment with an adminstrative fee of $50. Our goal is to evaluate the students’ French proficiency and place them in the best group. For returning students, placement is based on teachers' recommendations and progress reports. If our pedagogical team believes that our program is not the right fit and can not recommend an adequate placement, we will inform you and discuss options. If no adequate solution is found for the student, the enrollment process is terminated, and you will receive a refund of the pre-enrollment fee.
Starting in April, we will confirm the placement of your child and you will have to enrollment to the designated class. You will have the opportunity to choose between payment in full or in monthly installments. Enrollment is complete once you have filled out all the necessary information/waivers and made a payment towards tuition. Tuition for the year 2020-2021 for our 3-hour weekly program remain unchanged and will be between $1,950 and $2,020. We hilghly encourage early enrollment with Early Bird discounts:
10% off if enrolled by May 1st
5% off if enrolled by June 1st
Once you enroll in a class, you are making a commitment for the school year. No refund will be offered in case of voluntary withdrawal after classes have started. As a family, you will be expected to meet the minimum volunteer requirements each year or buy out with a volunteer opt-out fee to help cover for the cost of hiring extra help.
Your reserved spot through the pre-enrollment process will be held until June 1st or for 3 business days if the placement was confirmed after that date. When classes are full, we will put the remaining students on a waitlist.
REFUND You will receive a pro-rated refund if:
EFGS can not open or must close your child's class (due to low enrollment, teacher availability or any other unforeseen reason)
EFGS must change location after pre-enrollment and the new location doesn't work for you, you will receive a full refund.
Your child will not be able to attend class because of medical reason or because of a job relocation.
