We are currently looking for TEACHERS and a CLASS ASSISTANTS, for our school year 2023-24. Teaching positions are either Saturday mornings-in-person teaching (all levels) or/and online teaching positions (middle school) (4 to 8 hours during the week after school)
TEACHER
RESPONSIBILITIES
Saturday morning from 8:45am to 12:45am (paid 3.5h)

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and teach the content of the class, following EFGS unique curriculum
- After the class, communicate homework with parents and students, as well as progress reports as needed during the year
- Understand bilingualism/bicultural challenges and benefits and is able to adapt teaching techniques appropriately
- Support and follow the mission, philosophy, policies and rules of EFGS
- Participate in staff meetings throughout the year and partner with other EFGS Education staff members in a collegial and professional manner to further develop and implement the program and curriculum
- Must be a French native speaker or completely fluent
- Teaching degree from the Education Nationale or equivalent from the US or another Francophone country and/OR teaching experience to students from 3 to 17. Experience other than teaching is acceptable is the candidate is thinking about professional reconversion and is willing to get trained.
- Good communication skills
- Valid CPR and first aid card or required to obtain within first 30 days of employment (CPR is reimbursed by EFGS)
- Fingerprints and successful WSP and FBI background clearance/sexual misconduct clearance (will be taken care of by EFGS)

TEACHER ASSISTANT

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the teacher(s) in the assigned in-person class(es) on regularly scheduled Saturday mornings from 9:15am to 12:30pm
- Help with drop-off from 8:45am to 9:15am
- Supervise during recess
- Help with class set-up and material organization, and according to the teacher’s lesson plans, support and assist students in learning the class material by tutoring and assisting them in small groups or one-on-one
- Must be a French native speaker or completely fluent
- Good communication skills
