French classes options

For the time being, we are ONLY offering FLAM (Francais Langue Maternelle) classes, that are  intended for bilingual children who have been exposed to the French language either through a parent, a guardian or extensive full-time immersion (in a country or school).
A pre-evaluation is required to enroll in the class. See Admission Process for more details.

The main goals are for students to maintain and reinforce their knowledge of the language and to continue learning more about French and Francophone cultures.

Our language program was carefully thought and validated by teaching professionals to ensure high quality. It is designed for children who already understand or speak French. We chose a stimulating and engaging approach so that our children opens out and develop a French, and more largely a French-speaking identity.

HELPING YOUR CHILD

There are many ways that you can encourage your student in their study of French. Ask your child to read to you any handouts or reading materials they received from class. Have them teach you any songs they learned. Turn on the French language audio track the next time your child watches his or her favorite DVD.

Hearing French in different situations outside the classroom will reinforce the lessons your child is learning and will help him or her understand that it is important to you.

Most and foremost, if French is your mother tongue, always speak French to your child.
