7-9 years old 

Minimum prerequisites:
> Comprehension of spoken French.
> Ability to converse in French.
> Ability to read in French.

Small classes
1:15-hour class

Wednesday afternoons or Saturday mornings

At this level, the objective is to widen the scope of reading material in order to enrich vocabulary. In addition, basic French grammar will be taught, while emphasizing mastery of simple conjugations and other building blocks that make up sentences. At the same time, creativity will be encouraged in written expression, and students will learn to quickly comprehend and better express themselves in various situations.

​Having acquired those skills, the students will begin to work on more structured written expression and will practice writing their first essays. Creativity in written expression will be strongly encouraged.
GOALS
  • Refining and developing reading habits
  • Introduction to youth literature
  • Practical use of the knowledge acquired through reading to improve written and oral expression
  • Vocabulary development
  • Analysis of the French language (grammar, spelling, conjugation, vocabulary)
