Seattle
Saturdays from 9:15 am to 10:45 am

8 to 10 students per class

"The first three to four years of life are considered the best time for children to learn a second language, and is as easy as acquiring knowledge in their first language (Vos, 2008). Why? Children are bound to assimilate new sounds and new utterances indiscriminately at that time regardless of whether it is their mother tongue or another language."
The main purpose of this class is to offer an alternative option for students who are not able to attend our FLAM program. Students will discover or strenghen common vocabulary/phrases and practice French verbal expression and comprehension. Through songs, movements, games, rhymes, and stories, children will get introduced to the French language, acquire building blocks to foreign language learning giving them an edge for the future.

GOALS
  • Oral acquisition of the language with an introduction to phonetic codes
  • Develop vocabulary
  • Build cultural awareness
METHODS
  • Themed books for Vocabulary development
  • Songs, nursery rhymes, stories,... and engaging activities selected by the teachers
